Celebrate the arrival of spring with us in the KOI Edible Garden! On the First Day of Spring, we're kicking off our fourth garden season.

Starting in March, consultation points called Welcome Point will be launched at selected faculties of Nicolaus Copernicus University. These will be places where international students, PhD students and staff can obtain basic information regarding residence-related matters and everyday functioning at the university.

Welcome Points complement the activities of the International Point office operating within the Copernican Integration Centre. Their aim is to make access to information easier by providing support in different locations across both NCU campuses

The meeting will be led by Dr. Dariusz Kamiński from the Department of Geobotany and Landscape Planning at the Institute of Biology at the Nicolaus Copernicus University. Flora and plant communities of urban areas and nature protection are Dr. Kamiński's research interests.

Meeting with the author of the book "Women and Plants in Polish Folklore," Sara Orzechowska - Dr of folklore (ethnobotany), herbalist and phytotherapist. Founder of the Weeds Foundation - Linnum Foundation.

We invite you to participate in regular embroidery meetings. The joint work is based on the book "Women and plants in Polish folklore" by Sara Orzechowska, which describes the life cycles of a woman and the plants symbolizing them.

Culture shock - does it apply to me? Join our workshop, you will find out what to do if it does. We will discuss and explore aspects related to the symptoms of the honeymoon and other stages of culture shock, as well as communication that cause acculturation stress and answer the question of what can help you find their way in a new country.

There are many sources of stereotypes and prejudices, as well as various ways they become ingrained in society. In every community, there are people who feel the negative effects of stereotypical thinking, prejudice, and even experience discrimination or exclusion.

We are inaugurating our collective embroidery project. 

The KOI Edible Garden invites you for a cooking and eating together afternoon. A 15-person team will cook for us, and everyone is welcome to have a meal!

The fourth embroidery meeting will be held soon.

In the summer we met in the garden, this time we invite you to the building of the Copernican Integration Center.

The recruitment to volunteer in the Szlachetna Paczka is ongoing, so join us to do good for another person!
