Erasmus+ InnHUB Toruń Innovation Centre
In November 2025, the Erasmus+ InnHUB Toruń Innovation Centre was officially established at the Copernican Integration Centre of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, located at 16 Olszewskiego Street. The Centre was created on the basis of a cooperation agreement signed on 9 June 2025 by the Rector of Nicolaus Copernicus University, Prof. Andrzej Tretyn, and the Director General of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System (FRSE), Mirosław Marczewski.
Through this agreement, Nicolaus Copernicus University became the main partner of the Erasmus+ InnHUB Toruń Innovation Centre, serving the entire Kuyavian-Pomeranian region.
The Erasmus+ InnHUB Toruń Innovation Centre operates as a regional office of the Foundation for the Development of the Education System, which acts as the National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps. Its core mission is to foster cooperation with institutions—particularly universities, local and regional authorities, vocational education and training centres, schools, NGOs, and business partners—through partnership agreements that support innovation within the Erasmus+ Programme.
A key priority of the Centre is to strengthen Erasmus+ Key Action 2 (KA2) by expanding knowledge among organisations that advise and support schools, higher education institutions, non-governmental organisations, and enterprises on opportunities for international and cross-sectoral cooperation. By doing so, the InnHUB promotes synergies between education, research, innovation, and business, helping partners design higher-quality and more innovative projects. In addition, the Centre actively participates in educational and networking events, contributing to the overall enhancement of innovation in Erasmus+ funded initiatives.
The mission of the Erasmus+ InnHUB Innovation Centre is to promote and support interdisciplinary international cooperation, particularly between higher education institutions and their surrounding innovation ecosystems, while strengthening the links between education, research, and innovation.
The Erasmus+ InnHUB Innovation Centre in Toruń is one of several regional representative offices of the National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps in Poland. Similar Innovation Centres currently operate in Kraków, Katowice, Gdańsk, Poznań, Łódź, Wrocław, Opole, and Białystok. In November 2025, the Erasmus+ InnHUB Lublin Innovation Centre has joined this network as an additional regional representative.
