The Copernican Integration Centre is a place of integration, tolerance and cooperation, created to serve the academic and local community.

 

The basic tasks of the Centre are:

  • organizing animation and educational activities aimed at the integration of the local community with the members of the University community, with special attention to the foreign community of the University;
  • organising integration activities for students, doctoral students and staff of the University;
  • cooperation with organizational units and administrative units of the University in the field of implementation of integration and multicultural tasks;
  • running the International Point dedicated to providing support to students, researchers and foreign staff of the University in terms of organizing their stay in Toruń and at the University;
  • organisational support of the Rector’s representatives;
  • cooperation with public, non-governmental institutions and companies in the implementation of integration tasks, in particular with institutions of the City of Toruń and the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship Self-Government;
  • support for the activities of YUFE University Counselling Centres;
  • organizing a place of silence – a room of many cultures for students, doctoral students and staff of the University;
  • organising and implementing the Uni-Me Mentoring Programme, which supports students of the University in planning their educational path using the international component and social engagement;
  • applying for funds from the European Union and other potential financial means for the implementation of projects related to the tasks of the Centre.
